This course has, at times, been quite heavy-going, so you should feel pretty accomplished having made to to the very end! We’ve covered the membrane theory of shells, starting right at the very basics, deriving the governing equations and working all the way up to the analysis of multi-shell structures…that’s a lot of ground to have covered - so again, well done.

In addition to developing your understanding of the behaviour of shell structures, I hope that you’ve reached this point having learned a thing or two about Python and how we can use it within our engineering analyses. In particular, I hope you feel like you can tackle dense and heavy mathematical analyses with greater confidence now that you’ve seen how we can use SymPy to do a lot of the heavy lifting for us!
